This Privacy Policy explains what Data for AI Search (“we”) collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to our website and the AI Citation Audit, dashboards, and related services.
Information we collect
- You provide: your email, the domain(s) you ask us to analyze, business details (name, industry, location), any message you send us, and payment details processed by our billing provider (we do not store full card numbers).
- Generated by the Service: audit scores, citation and competitor data, tracked queries, and reports tied to your account.
- Automatically: usage and device data, and IP address (used for rate-limiting, abuse prevention, and security). Our optional AI-traffic measurement pixel is cookieless and session-scoped.
How we use it
To run and deliver your audits and reports, email you results and account notices, operate and improve the Service, prevent abuse and secure the platform, and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information.
Cookies & analytics
We use privacy-respecting product and marketing analytics to understand usage and improve the Service. You can control cookies through your browser. Where required, analytics and marketing pixels are handled in line with applicable consent rules.
Service providers (subprocessors)
We share limited data with vendors who process it on our behalf, under contract, only to provide the Service, including: hosting (Vercel), database and authentication (Supabase), transactional email (Resend), bot/abuse protection (Cloudflare Turnstile), product and marketing analytics (e.g. PostHog, Google Analytics, Meta Pixel), and the AI and search/data providers used to run audits. These providers act under their own security and privacy commitments.
Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, then delete or anonymize it, except where we must retain it for legal, security, or accounting reasons.
Your choices & rights
You can access or update your details in your account, opt out of non-essential emails, and request that your account and associated personal data be paused or permanently deleted. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights (such as access, correction, deletion, or portability). To exercise them, contact us.
Security
We use technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including access controls, encryption in transit, and row-level data isolation between accounts. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data.
Children
The Service is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the date above and, for material changes, provide additional notice where appropriate.
